The University of Toronto Wrote About Us
Share
Something happened last month that I’m still a little stunned by: the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto published a feature about No Guilt Bars – and about how I ended up making chocolate for a living, again.

Quick context for anyone new here: I’m Leslie, the founder. I make sugar-free chocolate in a small production unit in Toronto, and while building this company I’m also in the upper year of my MBA at Rotman – which has meant sitting in Operations Management lectures by day and running the tempering machine by night.
The article tells the longer version: growing up in Russia, building a previous sugar-free chocolate business there, taking a detour through tech, and discovering through my classes that I wasn’t done being a founder after all.
The writer describes me as “up to her elbows in chocolate.” Accurate. Most days, literally.
But here’s the part I keep coming back to. A university writes about a chocolate company only when the company is real – and this company is real because of you. The people who ordered a Starter Pack from an unknown brand, told me the honest truth in reviews, replied to my emails with ideas, and came back for a second box. A feature like this has my name in it, but it’s built on your orders.
So this one is shared with all of you. Thank you for making a small Toronto chocolate maker worth writing about.
